Laura Templeton was born and grew up in Edinburgh. The opportunity afforded to her by her BA exchange for one semester of her studies to the USA has been a great influence and opportunity for her.

Leading on from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA Laura won a competitive internship with one of the leading fashion jewellery design companies based in New York City.

Inspired by her travels she is fascinated with the process of construction and its presence within the urban environment.

Awarded The Goldsmiths Precious Metal Bursary Award 2012 and the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of Edinburgh funding has allowed her to experiment using industrial manufacturing processes both in precious metals.
