I was born in Malaysia, the son of the owner of a small, shoe manufacturing company. From an early age I helped my father in the company and after leaving school went to work for him on a full time basis. I was in charge of quality control and involved in the production side of the business.

I moved to the UK in 2000 for personal reasons and was earning a living in the catering industry. Tired of this, and always having felt I never fully completed my education, I decided that it was time to return to my passion for shoes.

After moving to Leicester in 2006 and hearing that it was a centre of excellence for footwear design I applied, and was accepted as a mature student, on to a 2 year Foundation Degree at Leicester College in Footwear Design, which I completed in 2010. I then went on to DMU to complete a BA Hons degree which I obtained in 2011.

My main interest is in ladies shoes as these offer more opportunities to be creative in style, textures and colours. My final range of shoes was based on the theme of Burlesque.

I am fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien, Malay and English.
