I am Textiles and Surface design graduate from Buckinghamshire New University who specialises in Print design- both digital and traditional hand.

This project was inspired by French film director Francois Truffaut's 'La Maiee etatit en noir'- The bride wore black. The film plot follows a young bride who is made a widow on her wedding day, travel around France methodically killing the men who murdered her husband.  Focusing on the bride’s journey and not her motives this project is about a grand romantic journey- featuring different modes of transportation flanked by hand drawn or painted florals.

my collection uses a combination of techniques such as; devore, technical dyeing, hand drawing and painting, flocking, photography and collage. To emulate my title and concept- The bride wore black: The journey

I have experience working in commerical print design studio Baxter-Fawcett and have also had the priviledge to work on a live brief for trend forecasting company StyleSight.
