My work involves using strong, bold colour and the construction of simple and often geometric forms. I enjoy combing hints of bright colours with subtle graded tones and textures. I translate my drawings and photography, initially inspired by mountainous landscapes and temple structures into digitally printed fabrics and leathers. I try to combine materials that highlight their hard and soft qualities, for example, patent leather, iroko and Perspex. I am interested in traditional hand-crafted processes, and have worked at inlaying, metal etching and turning materials on a lathe while also combining these processes with digital embroidery and sublimation printing.
