Initially training in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University I went on to work within the film industry, only to fall back on my love of children's literature and illustration and have just completed a Masters degree in Illustration for Children at Glyndwr University, Wrexham.

I like to keep compositions fairly minimal and uncluttered in order to focus on the essentials; stimulate imagination and promote creative thought. To infuse in them a sense of drama and expressiveness through movement, gesture, shadow play and alternate perspectives, thereby controlling pace and atmosphere.

Media I choose to work with include watercolour, pencil, pencil crayon, charcoal and gouache.
