Final year Textile student, specialising in embroidery, with a particular interest in embellishment and cutwork.

Recent inspiration for my degree collection has come from my travels through Thailand and Laos where I was very influenced by the pattern adornment and decorative aspects of the Far Eastern culture.

I used traditional stitching techniques but combined these with decorative surfaces, fabrics and leathers to create a glamorous, desirable collection which embraces the use of colour, pattern and decoration.

My samples transform regular materials by using different embellishment techniques. My aim was to interpret the traditional Far Eastern qualities of the culture through the eyes of myself as a young western designer and put together a collection which represents these interpretations.
