My work is a combination of different techniques that range from photography and digital processes to experiments using clay, wood, plastic and plaster. Using these materials, I explore surface quality, light, profile, organic and controlled qualities.

Cutting and assembling, layering and the contrasts between profile, surface and colour are aspects that feed my work constantly.

My main inspirations include Chinese paper cut designs, ink formations as well a shape that has stemmed from the outline of a tree. The detail of this shape and the quality of line is important to my practice.

I am interested in the contrast between a controlled edge and an accidental quality, order and chance.

My work has many strands. I am open to many ways of working in order to achieve the desired effect, for this reason my work is mixed media.
