Recently graduated from Heriot Watt University with a BA (2:1 Hons) in Design for Textiles, specialising in Woven fabric design.

My final year project focuses on creating stripes, checks and figuring motifs initially inspired by the work of collage artist Aimee Spilsted.

I translated the proportions and contrasts she uses into ideas for checks and stripes in varing scales, designed for the interiors market.

I wanted my collection to have a broad selection of colour and tones and picked trend information which allowed me to combine rich dark tones with brighter shades. All fabrics are hand woven using Dobby weave structures.

June 2011- Selected to exhibit at New Designers, Stand T38.

October-November 2011- Selected to exhibit selection of graduate work as part of "Capsule Degree Show from Heriot Watt University" at Borders Textile Towerhouse in Hawick.
