Im a recent Industrial Design graduate of Bournemouth University. My interest in design stems from a love for film which also acts as my inspiration in making a successful career in Entertainment Design.
SKILLS
- Conceptual sketching, freehand drawing, marker rendering.
- Proficient at Photoshop.

My current experience in design has allowed me to explore many avenues adding versatility to my abilities.
I have built upon my communication skills from working with clients. I have designed for several media formats from concept design to clothing, web based to print work. I have a strong work ethic and am able to work quickly and efficiently.
EMPLOYMENT
2010 - Freelance – Client: Always Construction
- The client was in the early start up phase of building the company profile up and therefore required company branding. I was hired to create the logo.
2009-2010 - Freelance – Client: East Cliff Centre
- Throughout the several months I was hired, I helped conceptualise designs for multiple items such as large outdoor signage, company uniform and a redesign of all their hand-out advertisement items.
2008-present – Left and Right Clothing
- At the beginning, I was brought on board to create graphics for the first run of t-shirts. This grew to further development of alternate clothing items across the whole range.
I liaised with the manufacturers in China via email during the production of the clothing. I further expanded my role across various media to website design and advertisement design (catalogue and brochures).
Throughout working at Left & Right I have continued to learn the processes involved to produce effective products for the brand; key skills I hope to take with me in whatever opportunities I undertake.
2008 - Freelance – Client: A Silicon Wasteland (music band)
- I was hired for a short period as a concept artist/illustrator for the band. They required visual imagery for their webpage. I went through the process of sketching ideas and corresponding with the band before agreeing on the final design of which I completed in Photoshop.

INTERESTS/HOBBIES
I am a film enthusiast with a wide breadth of knowledge on film in general. Being a designer and lover of films I am highly influenced by concept designers and art directors that work within the industry.
I find the work of Doug Chiang and Feng Zhu very influential. Their unique styles that define the aesthetic look of a film are truly inspiring. The science fiction genre in film has always been an important influence to me with key films such as the Star Wars saga, Blade Runner and the Alien series being major inspirations to my own work.
Among other artists, I also regard Martin Scorsese, George Lucas and Quentin Tarantino as significant directors who inspire me. Although they are not designers as such, they have contributed to how many films look and each has their own distinctive defining look.
I also enjoy playing computer games. I specifically like the Playstation consoles and with the release of the PS3, I look forward to seeing how and where they push the gaming experience.
I have always loved playing strategy and action games such as the Grand Theft Auto series. One of the best I’ve played since the release of the PS3 is Prototype. I would love to work on a game like the Resistance series.
I spend the remainder of my time improving my drawing skills, studying film and game designers and reading up on design.
A particular book that I have recently read was Concept Design Vol 1&2 (2003, 2006). It shows many artists impressions to approaching a brief with descriptions from the artists themselves.
I found it fascinating to read and it made me even more determined to work as a designer.
