Rag and Bone Workshop is a mobile workshop environment offering people an opportunity to reconnect with each other and the material world.

The original rag and bone men relied on an exchange of goods within a community. In a similar way this project is about creating a space for people to play and exchange ideas in a creative, constructive manner, enabling everyone to become a 3D designer.

Caprolactone wax is a new innovative low melt temperature plastic and applied within a fun workshop environment such as this, enables people to rapidly build and express ideas three-dimensionally without the need for specialist tools or equipment.

Combining the caprolactone wax with fabric and lengths of round section timber, different furniture and structures can be assembled enabling those with limited skill, ability, equipment or space to make things, reconnecting with each other and with materials.
