Lately I work with limited notations of strong colour on the surface so I can achieve a balance between form and colour.

Work Experience & Research
Chague Thiébaut - 06/07/09 - 08/07/09
• Assisted a ceramic artist in producing his sculpture. This in turn ended up at the V&A Gallery in London for a opening for their new ceramic collection showcase.
• I learnt new techniques in how to build large scale and also acquired new skills in slab building.
• I got a great insight into making an outdoor kiln specially adapted for his sculpture and the way in which it fires.

• Took part in various glazing, producing tiles and using kilns.
• I got an understanding of how a small-scale pottery studio keeps it self running and competing with other markets.

• Assisted my tutor in some preparation for his ceramic works for his exhibition as well as helping him set up for the exhibition at Winchester Cathedral.
• Learnt new skills in coiling and hand building on a large scale.
• Gained an insight into going about approaching and setting up for a venue for an exhibition.

Goals/Ambitions
My aims for the future is to carry on my studies into an MA course were I could carry on to develop a style for my ceramic that is suitable to my interest in the technique of throwing.

I will also like to use this time to study abroad were hopefully I could gain more ceramic knowledge. During my MA course I am going to start thinking more about a way in which I can set up a ceramic business in the future as this is one keen aspiration of mine.
