BA Hons fashion textiles: Print 2009-2012

Personnel statement

My textiles work is commercial yet creative and is appilcable to a range of surafces in its diversity, a strong foucus on hand drawings being the basis for my design work I believe this gives the print a more creative feel I am also able in cad design. I work well as part of a team, this has been explored in my final year of my degree via a collbration with a fashion design student. This can be seen in my portfolio.

Inspiration  comes from a variety of sources from a degrading rose, the beauty of a victorian building, vintage fabrics and old movies. Femininity is key to my design philosophy. My Intrests and my own style reflect in my work, I am the averge of my work. My eye is caught by pretty things as Maria sang in West Side Story I feel Pretty oh so pretty'.
