Exhibition Design Competition
Competition brief to get the change to design and build the exhibition for the fashion studies final years show at Graduate Fashion Week. My concept was took inspiration from sustainable methods of production within the fashion industry and creates a form that represents the water that is being saved. The design won and along with two of my collegues went on to design the stand.
Graduate Fashion Week Exhibition Stand
Having won the competition to part of the design team for the exhibition stand at Graduate Fashion Week along with two collegues we collaborated through a long design process with the fashion course to design a stand that best represented the course. It was then manufactured off site and on show at Graduate Fashion Week and came runner up for best stand design 2012.
1960's Tower Block Regeneration
This project looked at sustainable issues by taking a 1960's building that was to be demolished and making use of it by taking it back to its structure and designing modular apartments that would be built in four transportable sections that could then be plugged into the building. The concept was to take inspiration from Le Corbusier by creating a building that had a sense of community.
Floating Hotel Rooms
Working on a simulated brief with sunseeker I designed a floating hotel room that looked at how we could adapt the way we live if sea levels were to rise. The idea was that the hotel room design would be a prototype that if successful would go on to design a range of floating homes that would be launched in Sandbanks, Poole and area that is currently affected by rising sea levels.
