Michelle is a recent graduate from Leeds College of Art. She finds inspiration from traditional Japanese textiles creating innovative, dramatic fashion fabrics. Her work is centered around Japanese birds which can clearly be seen in her large scale prints.

Michelle has a unique illustrative style combined with strong geometric designs. She often paints back into designs or works back into them with screen printing after being digitally printed so each individual print becomes more unique. Michelle has a strong realisation of how important it is to be innovative in the current textile industry after having completed work experience with Pattern textiles.

She can use Photoshop and Illustrator confidently and uses a variety of specialist print processes.

Being a recent finalist in the Bradford Textile society shows that her work has a unique quality.

Michelle is enthusiastic to begin her career in the textile industry and will soon be exhibiting work at:
