I am a fashion textiles designer specialising in print, both screen and digital. I also work in knitwear, utilising print and intarsia to apply pattern. 

For my gradutate collection I have also employed techniques such as embroidery using hand made yarns and appliqué using leather. I combine many of these techniques in single garments to give the effect of collage, contrasting knit against hand drawn digitals, graphic screen prints and hand painted block colour prints. The paintbox prints and bold Constructivist shapes combine to convey a folklore inspired dreamscape designed to impart the wearer with joy.

I spent a year in industry as an intern in 2008, which gave me invaluable experience.  I spent five months on placement at Eley Kishimoto, primarily cutting the sample collection, also assisting with the day-to-day running of the studio.  I spent two months at Cooperative Designs, working on the hand knit elements of the collection, sampling and developing techniques for production. I also spent two months at David David and Tata Naka working as a studio assistant.
