For my BA(Hons) collection, I  specialised in mixed media; a combination of knit, illustrative work and laser worked leathers. My collection explores ‘Steampunk’ – a movement that combines the influences of past and future technologies within a new scientific romanticism. I am particularly keen on exploring the theme of ‘Technology vs. Nature’ throughout my collection, seen through the use of materials such as natural wools, leathers and high-tech stainless steel yarns. My intricate hand drawn illustrations have formed the basis for my textile pieces, exploring new digital technologies on traditional fabric substrates. I was sponsored and provided with leather from Pittards Leather of Yeovil for my final year project. At the moment I am utilising the skills I have been exploring throughout my degree by establishing myself as a freelancer.
