I believe myself to be a well-organised, hard working and reliable person who strives to achieve the best. I respond to challenges well and I am able to take a creative approach to problem solving.

Throughout my degree I have learnt many techniques and have used those skills to create some innovative designs.

I can knit on both a single-bed and double-bed domestic machines and have achieved a level of technical skills which enables me to create a wide range of fabrics, including techniques such as weaving and e-wrapping.

I am also technically able in linking and overlocking, having regularly worked with a 7gg, 10gg and a 12gg linker.

I have worked with 10gg and 12gg Dubied knitting machines and have learnt an extensive range of techniques that can be produced from this machine.

I have experimented with the many different fabrics that can be produced from single techniques alone such as ‘holding check’.

I have used a variety of techniques to give texture and volume within my design and have successfully used additional material like heat press flocking to create layered fabrics.
