As a textile designer I thrive on pushing boundaries, experimenting with new techniques and challenging the ones I already have in order to combine the unexpected in my designs.

My graduate collection has been inspired by a combination of 1920’s Art Deco and Futuristic architecture, creating a juxtaposition of busy graphic patterns and subtle textured prints.

My collection is about creating beautiful tactile qualities and exploiting the use of colour through the use of colour gradients and shade variations creating a flow and atmosphere to my designs. 

I have achieved this look in my designs through various dyeing, screen printing and digital print techniques. I have carried on the theme of the future throughout my collection by using, metallic fabrics, plastics, embellishment and screen printing techniques such as foil, glitter, metallic and pearl binders.  

I have completed a work placement at Owens and Kim, London 2011.
