The large-scale body adornments I create are heavily influenced by my love of fashion and textiles, specifically focusing on my personal style and the interiors I inhabit.

I am a mix of colours, textures and patterns that all clash, which is shown throughout my adornments with the use of textiles technique flocking and enamel spray.

As well as my jewellery being inspired by me, it also strives to ask people what is precious.

This question drives and inspires me to turn the preconceptions of jewellery and fashion upside down, I take the ‘important forgotten objects’ of jewellery and fashion such as the humble earring back or a bobbin and play with juxtaposition and scale.

I also take objects considered as value such as the diamond and specifically the cabochon set and mock the traditional value system with the use of bright colours and texture.

I encourage the viewer to rethink the traditional value system, why can’t the earring back be more precious than the diamond set at the front?
