Having worked as a scenic carpenter for 15 years in London and Amsterdam. I had a motorbike crash and three operations later it was clear that i would have to retrain because of injuries to my leg.

I enrolled at London Met to take their FdA in Furniture Making and after a couple of years and a few interesting projects later it was obvious to me that I had made a good choice. The facilities available at the Met are fantastic and it's an interesting time to be a maker, with all the digital technologies around and year on year they become more accessible and affordable.

Part of the journey as a maker is to discover a style of your own. i like to mix the digital process with traditional making techniques, re-interpreting unfashionable, but practical pieces such as my 'really tallboy' or useful but quirky such as my 'tailed cabinet' for keys.

I make pieces that I would like to own for myself and its functionality and location are foremost to its conception. I believe that furniture made from farmed and therefore sustainable timbers will have a beauty, longevity and sympathy to it's surrounding unlike any other materials used.
