This project looks at the history of Paisley pattern in Britain. Shapes seek inspiration from textile mill workers of the period, where wools and linens sit alongside printed Paisley silks.
This project for Rodarte is inspired by the church; shapes are sought from choir robes and clergy-style silhouettes, with details and fabrics inspired by window styles. By using cut-away sections in the romantic shapes I hoped to create the dramatic styles typical of Rodarte.
