Manchester School of Art MMU
Fashion BA (Hons)

I am a Womenswear designer, specialising in Knitwear. I have recently completed a BA(Hons) degree in Fashion Design. I am entusiastic, hardworking and dependable. I want to re-invent the idea of knitwear by blurring the boundaries of art and design and using knit and print techniques in an original way.

I am also strongly influenced by menswear. I use this inspiration to produce seperates which are based on original generic garments to balance my more creative, expressive pieces.

work experience

Between May2009 and June 2009, I helped Luis Lopez-Smith, a final year Masters student at the Royal College of Art, finish his collection. Working in the professional studio environment and being involved in the production process, helped me develop my technical skills, knowledge of construction, a deeper understanding of menwear and knitwear.

styling

My other area of interest is styling. For the past few months, I have worked closely with photographer India Hobson, collaborating on a number of shoots. I have had work published in magazines such as Artbox magazine and Supplementaire.
