The whimsical and peculiar nature of insects and rainforest inhabitants are the inspiring force behind my work. I find the colour, texture and pattern that naturally appear on insects and animals a magical and breathtaking sight.

The bright colours and unique textures of an insect work as a visual signal to attract a mate, a concept that has been explored thoroughly in my pieces of jewellery and silverware.

Abstracted parts of insect anatomy such as antennae, abdomen and skin pattern become apparent and are demonstrated in a truly illustrative and fictitious style.

Using a unique colouring technique, spun metal and traditional hand crafting, I have created a playground of distinguishable 'Creatures' that can be viewed as standalone objects in their own right.

The curiosities of each piece invite the wearer to play, laugh, enquire and delight themselves for a little while in this imaginary world.
