Whle I make decisions based on aesthetics, words and meanings also run through my mind, shaping my thought and design process, altering a piece entirely if they become more relevant. 

The more apparent the meaning the less I distort the 3D object that was the original basis of my design. 

Sometimes just casting it in metal is enough; other projects require reworking and abstraction to get to the true essence of the thoughts and feelings behind it.

While I predominantly work in metals, sometimes I will incorporate softer, warmer or organic materials to contrast and highlight the characteristics of the metal.
