I am a design and craft student specialising in both ceramics and metal with a specific interest in slip
casting.
Taking inspiration from the world around me, the study of form, line and movement are recurring
topics and I use the visual power of multiples of objects to create an atmospheric impact.
Discovery, through the development of working processes and understanding the inherent properties of
the materials to emphasise their natural qualities, greatly influences my work.
Emotional attachment between people and objects interests me and has become an underlying aspect. With this in mind my work is designed to create a connection between people and interior spaces.
I enjoy working with, and alongside people both in the workshop and during group projects. I am able to communicate my ideas effectively, both visually and verbally and I am a diplomatic and organised group leader.
Professional practice has given me an understanding of how a business functions, however having the opportunity to work alongside professionals will give me first hand knowledge of the world I aim to be part of and aid in the development of my own work.
