The starting point in my work is a desire to know how metal moves. Each piece is a record of the actions that go into its making: hammering stretches, hardens and solidifies metal. Fire softens it, and water and abrasion cleanse it. This is an age old process, and one that gives me great satisfaction.

The pieces then curve, twist and wrap around one another, or the body itself, like a second skin that bears the marks of its own making.

My jewellery is also meant to function as a mere family of objects, that are fun to look at and handle when not worn. The sense of touch is very much present in the making, so I like for the finished work to retain a sense of tactility.
