Rosie Breeden has been challenged by the assumption in jewellery that it is only when materials such as gold, silver and gemstones are polished and set that they become precious. 

She has been exploring the origin of these materials and the process of how they grow alongside each other. 

With this in mind she started to make her own minerals in order to explore the variety of combinations that could be obtained, focusing on the merging of ceramic and metal. 

Rosie strives to impart a sense of organic growth in her work and to draw attention to the natural beauty of a material in its raw state.
