The intention of the Hybrid series has been to explore the possibilities inherent in integrating digital tools in the design of glass, and thus what occurs when traditional techniques and traditions meet new technology. My approach has been thematically as I had the intention to create an aesthetic that is a hybrid of new digital technologies and traditional handicraft techniques. Integrating the use of digital technologies in the design process opens up a potential development within the field, this development can be seen as an innovation within the field of glass design which are stretched between poles tradition and innovation. In the production I have used CNC milling for the manufacture of blow molds, and consequently the transformation from the digital form to the physical form. Hybrid is a series of experimental unique products that can be further developed for industrial production.
