I have just completed my fourth year of my product design degree, within which i feel I have gained experience in user centred design, as well as understanding design for manufacture and benefits and limitations of materials and processes.

During my final year I worked closely with the elderly community to produce Safety in Numbers; an Automatic fall detection system, that further stores the users medical information to enable fast and effective treatment incase of a fall. The product enables people to remain independantly within their own homes for longer.

During my placement year, I worked at monier, at which I was involved in product benchmarking, which has given me an extensive knowledge into the quality control and testing processes a product has to go through to get to market. Furthermore I designed a new batt picker on CAD using NX which was manufactured and currently being used in a production line in France.

I am extremely passionate about inclusive design, i believe that ideas can change lives; to be apart of this process is an incredible and rewarding feeling. Design can empower people to regain independence.
