Sleeping Beauty
Playing on the oldness of this tale, I used faded fabrics, vintage lace, bleaching, tea staining, lace stencilling & scrunching, creating an air of opulence that fairytales encompass.

Iris Murdoch's 'The Unicorn'
Based on the prosperity of the story's main household compared to the dangerous surrounding cliffs, I designed a contrasting mix of luxurious silk and velvet costumes and rough, outdoor tweeds and woollens.
