I am a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable person who is passionate about design and hopes to gain further experience in the industry. I have specialised in knit but also like to incorporate print into my work, I enjoy the development of colour palettes and gaining design inspiration from upcoming trend stories.

Studying fine art at foundation gave me a good basis of drawing skills that I have then built on in my degree. My degree has also provided me with a good understanding of knit techniques, including the use of Linker, Domestic, Dubied and Shima Seiki machines. I have also gained knowledge of computer software that I use for illustrations, mood boards and print work.

My final project is inspired by antique objects and vintage knitting patterns, with use of print and quirky details.

Bradford Textile Competition 2009 - received commendation in knitted fabric category.
