Inspired by the intrinsic flexibility of fabric, multi-life is a series of interior textiles which can be adapted by the user to fulfill a variety of functions, exploring the complex relationship between product, consumer and designer.
From a project investigating the reinvention of unwanted furniture by updating with innovative textiles. This stool is based on a traditional design but reinventing the woven structure allows the user to alter the pattern as they wish.
These colourful and adjustable forms are inspired by traditional textile and sewing techniques. The attachments allow for the forms to be compiled in a multiplicity of ways exploring the possibility of a consumer led interactive experience.
