Duties involved making toiles of garments from the first pattern right through to the pre-production pattern, amending and tracing patterns, creating spec sheets on Microsoft Excel, creating layplans for factories to follow on Adobe Photoshop, checking measurements of toiles and graded patterns and generally assisting in both the sampling and production studios.

As the only intern working for Emma Cook, my duties involved making toiles of garments, amending and tracing patterns, hand sewing, sourcing materials, quality controlling stock, working at sample sales, and assisting on the photoshoot for the S/S 2010 lookbook.

Duties involved hand sewing embellishment on showpiece garments, creating decorative samples, tracing patterns, ensuring all garments were finished to a perfect standard, and dressing models backstage at the Fall 2009 catwalk show.
