Lace and porcelain, are what I use to create my first impressions. The way in which I intertwine them is how I talk to people before I say hello.

I have recently graduated from the University Of Creative Arts in Farnham, where i studied Ceramics for 3 years.

The techniques I used are very simple, but I am able to create endless amounts of patterns, so they are never the same.

I pour out the porcelain slip onto a plaster bat which has the lace imprinted in it. Once it has dried enough for me to take it off, I allow it to break and tear its natural way – this is what creates the shapes.

Smoothing and grinding at the edges are the final steps to give them the definition upon which they create.
