The collection of images to view in this portfolio have been chosen from a body of work which displays different styles of intimately rendered portraits.

I am interested in a variety of media and processes. Drawing and painting are very personal processes which are developed through experimentation with many forms of media; pencil, paint, fabric, stitch, paper and acetate. The results can range from abstract to representational.

At Bachelor level I produced contemporary applied art Textile pieces. These Textile Art pieces were realized in the form of a series of collaged portraits.

Each portrait is a signature of the instinctive and impulsive process which describes the intimate and discreet relationship between artist and subject.

I have experimented liberally with collage, incorporating textiles, mixed media and stitch. Resulting surfaces combine heavily with textured areas, photography and painting/drawing.

I developed a keen interest for illustration during my final years at Bachelor level.
