I am fascinated by the idea of the continuous line throughout a piece.

All of my work follows this theme, and it is especially evident in my large scale installation pieces. These pieces are made up of multiple stands that intersect, disperse, become solid and sculptural, and return to their original form creating a fluid fabric.

My main priority is that the work should effortlessly flow between these states.

I am inspired naturally occurring instances of the continuous line, looking at examples from muscle fibres to microscopic plant cell formations.

To contrast this, I take my colour inspiration from contemporary urban photography, giving my work a modern feel, whilst demonstrating my knowledge of technical and traditional skills.

I am trained in knitted textile design and use knitted tapes in most of my work, mainly using viscose yarn as it comes in a myriad of colours. This allows me to have full control over most of the ‘ingredients’ I use, as I create them myself.

Recently I have developed a series of small scale interior products to complement the statement pieces. These demonstrate the same attention to quality of materials and finish seen in all of my work.
