I’m fascinated by the textures and marks found on rocks, stones or geological strata. But inspiration comes from a wide range of sources such as responding to life; stories; my surroundings and noticing synchronicities are important starting points. I’m interested in the ordinary, the everyday but also the quirky and off beat.

Concern for the environment, sustainability and attitudes to waste are important issues for me – which is reflected in my work by often re-using or up-cycling materials where possible.

With “Terrain” I have created a series of tactile textured surfaces – or terrains- using recycled denim jeans offering a variety of applications - everything from flooring/room dividers or screens/or visual wall features.
