I create mixed-media stitched wall pieces which could also be used as illustrations. The works I make are driven by the amount of rubbish I see as I go about my daily life.

I am interested in the theory that we are so conditioned to seeing rubbish on the ground in our cities and towns that it doesn’t even concern us anymore, it’s as though it has become an accept part of daily life.

I show this idea in my work by using rubbish as a base, which I then free machine stitch on to. I use discarded newspapers, fast food wrappers and old tissues on to which I stitch scenes of London’s streets and attractions.
