My lighting products use hand blown glass forms to exaggerate light, shadow and the tonal ranges between the two.  My pieces add warmth, emotion and mood to a space; my lighting transforms a space when switched on but significantly, it maintains a strong presence when switched off. 

Complex forms that cast subtle shadows onto surrounding walls and simple lights which diffuse softly appeal equally to me; it is the softness and warmth of the light that attracts me.

I have always been drawn to the polar regions of the planet. There is a strong, yet conflicting, relationship between the fragility of these environments which are ever changing and the strength of these same regions where nature survives against all the odds. 

Glass is the perfect material to demonstrate this contradiction, the malleability of glass in its molten state contrasted with its fragility in its cold state, complimented by light encapsulate this conflict perfectly.
