ANDAM (National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts) was founded by the French Ministry of Culture and the textile-garment industry association DEFI for the purpose of supporting and promoting fashion design in France.
This year it has nine private partners: The Pierre Berge´ and Yves Saint Laurent Foundation LVMH Group Galeries Lafayette Longchamp, L’Ore´al Professionnel, Only The Brave, Diesel Group, Hudson’s Bay Company (Canada), Saks Fifth Avenue (Middle East) and the Gucci Group.
The five finalists will be officially announced in early May 2010. The jury will meet to select this year's winner(s) in June 2010.
Carine Roitfeld, editor in chief, Vogue Paris is the president of the jury. “ I am happy and proud to be offering my experience and contributing to the selection of tomorrow's talents. Providing support for young designers is an integral part of our mission at Vogue Paris, as well as a deep personal commitment of mine.”
The 21ST edition of the ANDAM awards ceremony will take place in Paris during Fashion Week in October 2010.
