Meet the ARTS THREAD members who have been chosen for ARTS THREAD Selects at HANDMADE EDINBURGH.

Following the success of a first year in Scotland, Handmade Edinburgh 2017 by Handmade in Britain will be returning to the Royal Mile in October 2017.

Taking place at The Hub, Edinburgh Festival Centre from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October 2017 (Private View evening on Thursday 26th October 2017), Handmade Edinburgh is set to become the leading showcase for contemporary craft in Scotland. From the opening showcase in 2016, Handmade Edinburgh received a grand response with 2,400+ visitors in attendance, and over 70 Scottish based makers and live demonstrators from an array of craft disciplines including sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, furniture and textile exhibiting at the show.

Following ARTS THREAD’s success for 3 years with Handmade in Britain promoting Emerging Talents at Chelsea and Kew, we have worked with year with HANDMADE IN BRTAIN to create a curated space within Handmade Edinburgh for recent graduates (2015/16/17) called EMERGING TALENTS.

ABOUT HANDMADE EDINBURGH

This premiere contemporary craft and design event is a fabulous opportunity to shop for gorgeous textiles, jewellery, ceramics, glass and more from a handpicked selection of designer-makers from Scotland and beyond.

Makers will be on hand throughout the weekend to talk about their work and showcase their collections.
