About

Graduated with a master's degree in Biodesign, focusing on the integration of eco-friendly materials and design concepts. Committed to pursuing more meaningful cultural heritage and innovation.

Every year, the aromatherapy and essential oil industry generates vast amounts of botanical waste, such as pine neddle and floral residue. Today, as sustainability takes center stage, I aspire to breathe new life into these discarded byproducts. Drawing inspiration from China’s intangible cultural heritage of crafting scented beads, I combine plant-based waste with nanmu wood powder to create wearable scented accessories. This not only preserves cultural traditions but also continues the healing power of plants. My design draws inspiration from the "Seven Mansions of the Azure Dragon"—an ancient Chinese constellation governing the East, symbolizing vitality and renewal. Each stellar mansion reflects a segment of the dragon’s celestial form: Jiao, Kang, Di , Fang , Xin, Wei,and Ji—all embodying distinct virtues like justice, fertility, and cosmic order. I’ve woven these meanings into scented bead craftsmanship, creating wearable art that harmoniously intertwines metaphysics, astronomy, and the essence of botanical life. During the design process, I chose to pair silver and jade as complementary materials. The jade, much like the fragrant beads, represents the stars within the constellation, while the silver serves as the structural material that directly connects the jade and fragrant beads.
