Consisting of an instablog, the project explains the trials and tribulations that come with having a cleft lip, as well as explaining facts about the condition. “I wanted to use bright colours to make a heavy topic light and easy to comprehend, without over complicating the posts with medical terminology, so anyone could understand. I also created simple diagrams and illustrations,” writes Wright. Tayo Onabule, Charlie-George Baker and Michael Bailey collaborated to create Life Titles. Users of Life Titles can use the platform to replace their job titles with unique phrases that describe them in a more personal way than a job title. The project aims to break down hierarchies and give titles to people that more reflective of their ambitions and personalities. Bacardi Boom by James Pang aims to bring together fans of different dance music genres. The advert promotes a summer festival that celebrates house, techno, bassline and drum and bass. Harry Wilson created a publication to promote the advertising and brand design course at Ravensbourne, highlighting the projects from the graduating class. The Advertising and Brand Design graduates from Ravensbourne University London presented their final projects in their end of year show earlier this month, unveiling works that examine digital identities, personal data and de-stigmatising medical conditions.

Michael Bailey’s Google and Me project explores the way our data is used – and exploited – on a daily basis by major corporations who in some cases know more intimate details about you than your family and friends. The video project appropriates the visual language of Google and uses the platform’s algorithms to piece together all the information the company holds on Bailey.
