In addition to the grand prize, members of the public could vote on social media for their favourite collections. The designers Dora Hegedus, Aleksandra Volovikova and Boryana Vatova each recieved the highest numbers of votes and were presented with prizes from COCOS Fashion Trade. Vatova received the highest overall number of social media votes, resulting in an extra prize consisting of support with full branding development and consulting support to promote her brand in Europe and Israel. The winner of the International Young Designers Contest 2020 (IYDC) has been announced! Organised by the Ukrainian Fashion Council, the contest gathers together talented emerging designers from Eastern and Central Europe, who have already proven to be the best creative young minds in their countries.
The winner, Amsterdam-based designer Tess van Zalinge showcased a collection of upcycled wedding dresses. Zalinge received a $5,000 prize as well as a scholarship for a three week course of her choice at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design.
A total of 19 collections from designers based in 12 different countries were shown at this year's IYCD which was made digital as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. All finalists were already prize winners in their own right, making this year's line-up one of exceptional quality. The finalists were:

- Dóra Hegedűs, the choice of Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency 2020
- Annika Kiidron, the choice of Estonian Fashion Festival 2020
- Una Berzina, the 1st place winner of Meringue young fashion designers 2019
- Anita Leina, 2nd place in Meringue fashion contest 2019
- Saimonas Tartenis, the winner of Mados Infekcija 2019
- Mira Matchina, The 1st place winner, of ZGeneration YDC 2020
