When designing garments, Fenella always thinks about using natural fabrics to support her focus on a sustainable mindset. She wants to make sure her design and garments can contribute to more friendly environments and be timeless. She enjoys making a garment from linen, wool and cotton as those fabrics suited well with her personality. Her designs aim for the timeless, longevity and quality over quantity.These menswear collections were born from Fenella’s experience growing up in an Asian culture where patriarchy is dominant. Her society considered men to be masculine while women have to be feminine in all aspects of their lifestyle. As a result, her collection idea came by breaking the gender stereotype concept.Fenella added the softness and a vibrant vibe of womenswear’s characteristics and transferred them into her menswear collections based on her concept. She wants to create a dashing, happy, delightful and vibrant yet humble menswear style. In addition, she also wants her collection still looks stylish with a hint of femininity, yet people can see the masculinity in her collections.Fenella choose the pastel's colour and combined them with monochrome grey. Lightweight fabrics represent the feminine vibe while wool and suede leather belt accessories are representing the structured silhouette of masculinity.
