My name is Alessandro Castorino, and with a formal background in Graphic and Service Design, as well as a larger experience in different design and creative businesses, I am looking to apply for this position you are currently advertising. I believe that my skills and past academic and professional experiences make me an excellent fit for your team and the design position in your firm. During my BA and MA academic periods, I also undertook a variety of internships in different sectors, from advertising to product design, as well as experience and service development. These have allowed me to develop not only a strong creative thinking method but to find the appropriate solution to issues different from each other due to the relevant sector. These experiences in the field have also allowed me to develop an ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing issues and to properly develop successful outcomes elastically.

The project which best reflected my newly acquired service design skills is the final project I undertook in a partnership with the European NIO car manufacturing branch, developing a service that could overcome the shortcomings often associated with autonomous vehicles. These include a lack of proper introduction and training on how to operate and understand the system, as well as learning long-term operating and understanding skills for the user. The outcome was meant to correct this and allow for smoother integration of their vehicles and driverless products. The result is an onboarding service named NIO-NISM, that catalyzes the efficiency of the Self-Driving (SD) adoption journey and its experience for Hands-off (Level-3) autonomous users. The purpose of this service is to focus on the onboarding journey for a much broader user base than before, which current vehicles fail to highlight.
