My practice involves researching meaning making. This work responds to the question – What is meaning making? We seek as individuals to understand our personal world and make sense of it. More than ever in the history of mankind information is openly available – but I would question how much of this information is factual and truthful. Should I be open with the meaning of my work – Or, should I leave the idea of what this object means to the observer? There is no clear theme or metaphor one could associate with this work – And I have created this deliberately so. If an idea of what this object means for a viewer is clear and present, then I would suggest it is all within there imagination, created by associations of memories collected over ones life time. My thoughts and any manner of memories are embedded in this work; as a viewer you cannot see all of this hidden information. I am all to aware of what this work means to me. What you think you see is what you imagine and what you imagine is exclusive to you.
