About:

As a menswear designer, I strive to incorporate comfort, a sense of identity and innovation into my clothes. I like to play with the traditional men's silhouette and modernize it with a romantic approach. Fabric manipulation and use of textiles are what constitutes my garments. joannajadallah.com

Nihongo Bunka is a Mens Ready to Wear Fall 2018 collection. It was inspired by Japanese culture, and touched closely on fisherman as well as Samurais. Macrame and Japanese book binding were some of the key details incorporated to tie the designs to the inpsiration.

These Are My Roots This Is My Homeland is a menswear spring/summer collection created for my senior thesis. It was inspired by my ancestors, who were born in Palestine. In 1948 The Nakba took place, in which the people of Palestine were forced to leave their homeland and travel in the desert in search of a new home. I wanted to bring to light the hardships of my ancestors, and the culture that survived with them.
