Magis and Design Pavilion chose ARTS THREAD as the platform for their competition, with the goal of involving the local New York State design schools and the design students in developing the Magis, in partnership with Herman Miller, exclusive distributor for the US and Canada, installation in Times Square as part of Design Pavilion from May 12-20 2018.
ARTS THREAD successfully delivered a strong turnout in both quantity and quality for the Magis at Design Pavilion Design Competition. See the ARTS THREAD Photo report.
ARTS THREAD’s involvement:
ARTS THREAD used its contacts at all the leading art and design schools in New York State to nominate their best students and graduates who then uploaded a portfolio onto ARTS THREAD. The student or graduate uploaded their portfolio into a dedicated section of the website, so that the Magis and Design Pavilion jury could easily choose their favourites.
The ARTS THREAD team manages this process and checks the portfolio is professionally presented and the Magis and Design Pavilion jury evaluated the entries to establish the winning three artists/designers. Read the story of winner Lizzy Itzkowitz.
ARTS THREAD’s team of bloggers and social media experts promote the competition partners Magis and Design Pavilion from the start of the competition through to compiling post-competition publicity from around the world.
