For Milan Design Week 2015 ARTS THREAD worked with Designersblock to select a group of 9 designers for the showcase at Ex-Ansaldo, a former industrial space on via Tortona, the heart of Milan Design Week. Read our Milan Q&As with the designers.

For Milan Design Week 2014, ARTS THREAD worked with Designersblock to select a group of jewellery designers for a showcase in the San Gregorio district, a new zone for Milan Design Week, alongside Wallpaper* Magazine with their Handmade Exhibition, Droog Design, Kvadrat, Sarah Lucas and Rue Du Vertbois.

For Milan Design Week 2013 ARTS THREAD worked with Designersblock over a seriously tight deadline to select 10 directional graduate designers to show at The Magazzini - a cultural hub in the trendy Tortona district, sponsored by Heineken and also featuring PechaKucha, Cool Hunting, Tuttobene, digital design pioneer Joshua Davis and Vectorfunk artist Matt W Moore.

ARTS THREAD successfully delivered over a short timeframe a curated shortlist including industrial design, product design, illustration, textiles, ceramics and glass, from which Designersblock chose 10 winning designers.

ARTS THREAD’s involvement:

ARTS THREAD used its database of graduate designers to curate a shortlist of suitable candidates whose work fitted Designersblock's profile.

The ARTS THREAD team ensured each shortlisted portfolio was profesionally presented. ARTS THREAD presented Designersblock with the shortlist – a series of easy to view URLS and managed the process.

ARTS THREAD’s team of bloggers and social media experts promoted the winners at Milan Design Week, from Q&As on each designer before the show through to compiling post-show publicity from around the world.

Our experienced team helped the graduates with preparation for the show – with advice on presentation and display.

ARTS THREAD has also worked with Designersblock on a similar process of shortlisted entries for events at both London Design Festival and Interiors UK.
